In this blog, we’ll look specifically at One Nutrition, PharmaHemp, and Cleanmarine and explore how we uphold the best sustainability and highest ethical standards.
One Nutrition
There are no compromises with One Nutrition, and all products are made using high quality ingredients in order to be as effective as possible. We only use ethically sourced, premium pure ingredients with certified quality assurance. This is something we never cut corners on and means only the best ingredients make it into our products and your body.
Good health is always at the core of One Nutrition. We know life is busy enough for everyone, so we aim to make good nutrition as easy and accessible as possible, so it’s one less thing to worry about. We have ensured our product range is designed with a variety of dietary needs in mind. Organic Ingredients are important to us and almost all our products are vegan. All our Superfoods have been certified organic by the Organic Soil Association, whereas our MCT and Black Seed Oils have been certified organic by the Organic Trust.
In the spirit of goodwill, we always aim to look after our environment, which is why we use recyclable amber glass and cardboard packaging. Our packaging has been created with the environment in mind and is almost 100% recyclable – the card we use in our outer packaging is fully recyclable, and we are currently investigating an alternative to our current recyclable plastic lids to be more eco-friendly.
PharmaHemp
PharmaHemp is committed to sustainable and responsible manufacturing. We use organic farming methods to grow our certified hemp in the Pannonian planes of Croatia and Slovenia where the climate and low temperatures result in naturally low THC content within the hemp plant. The careful choice of fields and organic farming methods ensure that the hemp is free of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, heavy metals, and other environmental pollutants.
In terms of goodwill, PharmaHemp use a trusted GMP-certified producer and supplier of superior cannabidiol to give our customers the highest quality products. Full traceability is guaranteed by the QC assured by our in-house analytical laboratory. All PharmaHemp products including oil drops, balms, creams are made sustainably and responsibly with the highest quality ingredients.
Cleanmarine
For our Cleanmarine range, we are fully focused on ensuring our products are sourced ethically and sustainably. That’s why we use Aker BioMarine, which are the most ethical fishing company in the world and are audited continually by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Impressively, Aker BioMarine are the only fishery in the world with an ‘A Rating’ for sustainable fishing. Every catch is reported to the Commission on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), and an MSC inspector is present on board the Aker Biomarine ship to independently verify every catch.
The strict regulation of Cleanmarine ingredients is what makes us stand ahead of alternative products. In addition to our connection to Aker BioMarine, we have also had a 10-year association with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
One of our most popular products, Cleanmarine Krill Oil, is an ethically sourced form of omega-3 from the Antarctic Ocean. Ethically, Krill fisheries are more sustainable than other types of fisheries as they are more heavily regulated. Our suppliers use a precautionary, ecosystem-based approach designed to prevent krill harvesting that will have a negative impact on a harvested species in the ecosystem. The Eco-Harvesting method ensures less than 0.001% bi-catch. In addition, voluntary ‘protected zones’ are set up to ensure no fishing around penguin colonies.
